Anybody

 Last night we had a house full 4 kids, 5 dogs, 6 adults, we are sorta of use to having a full house and having it happen just randomly. Everyone was kinda doing their own thing when someone noticed Betty, laying in the kitchen staring in to the water bowl, looking so sad, needing a drink. She's just so sweet.

Cooler

 The weather outside has cooled a little. It's been 80 ish, and  we still have the air on. The boys are starting to get a little chilly at night. Silly I know, but  because they are silver, they don't have a lot of thick fur. It's time to start thinking about new sweaters for them, and this year i'm gonna get them some new bed blankets, the old ones have seen the washer too many times.

Brotherly Love

 As we sat and watched the World Series the other night, Jake couldn't find a seat close enough to Pete. As usual he made do with what he could.

Good Dogs

   I sat across from them thinking one of them would move any minute, none of them did. So we kept watching the game and laughing, they stayed this way for just about a whole inning. They seemed comfortable. I was reminded of  2 of my young boys laying kinda like this, looking very uncomfortable, but staying like this for a long time. Who knows, maybe they were just worn out, but I would rather think it's just true brotherly love, for both dogs and kids.

Bored

 Yesterday for the first time since the new baby was born, just about a month ago, the kids and I are bored. Pete reseeded the grass with winter seed and we can't play in the yard. Oh, we are not really bored, just missing "Grandma's Park" as the kids call it. So we've been playing what  Aunt Amy taught them as the triplet train, which is to hold hands, run the circle of the living room through the kitchen, up the steps and back around, as fast and as giggly as they can. Kids and dogs love it. Audy tried to hold Jakes collar and run, but he knocked her down,

Counter Surfing

   I have said before, our Jake counter surfs. And it doesn't have to be the kitchen counter, it can be the coffee table, bathroom sink, night stand, any surface. He will eat ANYTHING and can digest pretty much everything he's found so far, except foil. Last night he got most of the tomatoes for last night's dinner.  Pete thought this might work to keep him from surfing.

   Just kidding, but it was funny, Jake just stood there looking at Pete like Really.

New Baby

 I've been watching our triplet 2 yr old grand kids during the day. They have a new baby sister at home and we've been trying to let her settle in. Last night we got to watch them and Emily. She was just a doll, we've been blessed so far with another very good baby. We had her for about 3 hours and she did not cry once. The dogs just loved her. Especially Jake, every sound she made he had to come check on her. The kids loved having their sister stay with them, they were really cute about it.

 Once again Lucy did not much care for all the commotion. She let everyone pet her, then she went off to her bed where she likes to be.

Just Enjoying

   This is a small part of my day everyday during the week now, and I could not be enjoying it more. Kids are great, and the dogs, after getting use to the kids being outside with them, have been great also.

  Betty at 8 pm. She is out of it, and taking up the whole love seat. The heat has let up, so Pete is back up to running 5 miles again in the mornings. It's kicking her butt.

   Pete was upstairs working from home, and the grand kids were upstairs, taking a nap, the dogs were stuck down stairs, so they waited for any of them them to come down.

  It's finally getting nice outside. Yesterday the dogs got to play outside with the kids, they were very good and got to stay out the whole time, well except Lucy, she didn't want to stay outside

Storm

             Diamondbacks are out of the playoffs, yep we lost game 5.
  While we were watching the playoff game the other night, we had a much needed thunderstorm blow in, so nice to have just a down pour of rain here. We actually were able to open the house up, and enjoy the smells of the rain, the only problem, it also brought  THUNDER. After July 4th I thought Betty was okay with BOOMS, but I think she just forgot, because it's been a long time since we've had the windows open. She's still afraid of THUNDER
